Roberts Bakery aims to draw thousands to the bundled type of bread with its latest TV commercial.

The commercial, called Remarkably Roberts, targets younger customers squarely and focuses on the ‘star’ items of the company such as its quinoa, watermelon and chia seeds Good for You Bloomer, as well as white and wholemeal loaves.

It comes as Roberts launched a six-star snacking range inspired by breakfasts, launching on September 7. The collection includes Pangels, a cross between a pancake and a bagel; Brookies, a hybrid brioche bun and cookie; and Porridge Loaves.

The latest ad will debut on ITV Central, Granada and Yorkshire channels today (4 September) before hitting YouTube on 7 September.

It also exhibits the reduced-plastic Bloomer bags the company launched three years ago.

Roberts told The Grocer that he wanted to reach millennials because “they’re not buying as much in wrapped bread.”

Remarkably Roberts follows the commercial ‘Show Your Bakes’ released in lockdown due to the postponement of the bakery’s latest campaign.
