Morrisons is offering fresh twists on festive classics with its 2022 Christmas range.
Among the treats on shelf this year is a Christmas pudding containing panettone chunks, and billionaire mince pies featuring a chocolate pastry case and a caramel sauce.
With meat reduction remaining a strong trend, Morrisons will also be selling a host of festive meat-free and vegan options including a beefless wellington and a prawn toast alternative made with jackfruit.
“As a proud supporter of the British farming industry, we work directly with farmers, growers and fishermen, sourcing the best ingredients for our Christmas products from people we trust,” said the retailer, adding that customers will also be able to find a range of products hand-prepared in stores by its bakers and butchers.

The Best Chocolate Orange Cheesecake
This festive treat features a crunchy chocolate biscuit base with layers of chocolate and orange-flavoured cheesecake batter, and a light chocolate sponge disc. It is topped with a glossy dark cocoa mirror glaze and a thick chocolate ganache, then decorated with a scattering of bronze butterscotch pieces and Belgian white chocolate.

The Best Panettone Christmas Pudding with a Black Cherry Sauce
“A decadent new twist on a classic” is how Morrisons describes this rich Christmas pudding laced with chunks of panettone and black cherries.

Passionfruit Panna Cotta Star
Described by Morrisons as a “showstopping alternative dessert”, this comprises creamy vanilla panna cotta with passionfruit sauce. It forms part of the retailer’s The Best own label range.

Salted Caramel Profiteroles
Caramelised biscuit crumbs and cinder toffee have been used to finish these profiteroles, which are filled with salted caramel cream and topped with salted caramel sauce.

Billionaires Mince Pies
Morrisons has created these by filling a chocolate enriched pastry case filled with mincemeat and topping it with a smooth salted caramel sauce with a swirl of buttercream.

Produced fresh in store by Morrisons’ bakers, this Belgian Chocolate Chip Panettone is made using a tiger bread recipe and shaped into a Christmas tree
